读书、听故事、走路，这样机械规律的节奏，撑着我熬过这几个月。

听故事，颠覆并重新形塑了我的近代历史观。

书读得杂，间或偶有小得。

• 茶壶风暴：A tempest in a teapot（美式）或 A storm in a teacup（英式），指一件事原本没什么大不了，却被弄得很严重。 A lot of unnecessary anger and worry about a matter that is not important. 对号入座，怒己不争。
• 棘轮效应：Ratchet Effects，经济学理论。棘轮是只能向一个方向旋转的齿轮，不能倒转。被经济学家用来形容人的消费习惯形成之后有不可逆性，易于向上调整，难于向下调整。用咱老祖宗的话来说，就是由俭入奢易，由奢入俭难。国运使然，消费降级，不可避免。
• The more things change, The more they stay the same: 19世纪法国作家 Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr 写的。换句话说，就是 Despite apparent changes or advancements in society, certain fundamental aspects or patterns remain unchanged over time。即表面巨变之下，事物往往一成不变。再用咱老祖宗的话来表达：万变不离其宗。
• Ellipses: A form of eloquence, allowing silence to talk. "Using ellipses help me to say a lot, by not saying. I can not express my enormous need for you. So much unsaid. So much suggested!"
